How to get your device ready for repair

Backup, passcode, SIM card and packing: a short checklist that makes the repair faster and safer – in the shop and by post.

A few minutes of preparation make the repair faster and safer – whether you visit our shop in Rosengårdcentret or send your device by post.

1. Back up

Save photos, messages and contacts to iCloud, Google or your computer. We take good care of your device, but data can be lost with logic board faults or after water damage – and you are responsible for your own backup.

2. Remember the passcode – or set a temporary one

We test the screen, touch, camera, Face ID and charging before you get the device back. That requires us to unlock it. You can:

  • give us the passcode,
  • set a temporary passcode,
  • be present for the test, or
  • accept a limited test without the passcode.

3. Remove SIM and memory cards

That keeps them safe, and you can use your SIM in another phone meanwhile.

4. Tell us about the fault

Write briefly what happened: dropped, wet, not charging, screen flickers … and whether the device has been repaired before. It helps the technician find the fault faster.

5. Sending it by post?

  • Turn off Find My iPhone or the Google lock if we are to test the whole device.
  • Wrap it in bubble wrap in a sturdy box so it cannot move.
  • Use tracked shipping – with our shipping label, shipping both ways is DKK 99.
